AEO and GEO Services

Built for the Future of Search, Not the Hype Cycle

Everyone is suddenly selling Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization.

Most of them are just repackaging the same SEO work with a shinier acronym.

At Sachs Marketing Group, we take AI search seriously. Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, and other answer engines are changing how people search, compare, and make decisions. But we are not going to pretend there is a secret button, hidden schema trick, or magic file that suddenly makes your brand the answer.

Strong AEO starts with strong SEO.

Technical structure still matters. Authority still matters. Content quality still matters. Local relevance still matters. Trust still matters. If your website is thin, slow, unclear, poorly structured, or built on generic AI sludge, answer engines are not going to save it.

They are going to expose it.

No contracts. No pressure. Just an honest conversation.

The Problem

AEO became the new agency buzzword almost overnight.

AI Overviews became more visible. ChatGPT started citing sources. Perplexity gained attention. Gemini and Copilot kept evolving. Then, suddenly, every agency that was selling ordinary SEO last year became an “AEO expert” this year.

Here’s the problem: most of them cannot explain what they are actually optimizing beyond vague language about prompts, schema, FAQs, and “AI visibility.”

OpenAI does not give marketers a Search Console. Perplexity does not hand over ranking factors. Gemini and Copilot do not publish a clean roadmap for citation selection. AI visibility tools rely on sampled prompts, modeled estimates, and proprietary assumptions.

That does not mean AI search is unimportant. It means the people selling certainty should make you skeptical.

A lot of AEO deliverables sound impressive in a proposal but do very little on their own. FAQ schema. LLMs.txt. AI visibility screenshots. Manual prompt tests. Competitor citation reports. These can be useful in context, but they are not a substitute for the work that actually builds visibility.

And that is where most businesses get burned.

They pay for dashboards while their service pages stay weak. They chase AI citations while their technical SEO is broken. They ask for prompt benchmarking while their location pages barely deserve to rank. They spend months trying to influence systems nobody fully controls while ignoring the commercial search terms that actually drive leads.

The Difference

We do not treat AEO and GEO like separate magic tricks.

We treat them as the next stage of search.

Modern visibility depends on whether search engines and answer engines can understand your business, trust your website, retrieve your content, and believe your brand is credible enough to be cited or recommended.

The difference is that the bar is higher now.

Google is more selective about what it indexes. AI Overviews can reduce clicks. Answer engines summarize instead of sending every user to a website. Generic content gets filtered faster. Thin pages are easier to ignore. Weak brands become invisible.

So no, we are not dismissing AEO.

We are saying the best AEO strategy is not a gimmick. It is building the kind of digital presence that deserves to be surfaced in traditional search and AI-driven results.

That means the work is still grounded in real SEO:

  • Clear site architecture
  • Clear site architecture

  • A website that users and crawlers can actually understand

What Our AEO and GEO Services Include

Our AEO and GEO work focuses on the pieces that can actually influence visibility, not just the pieces that sound good in a sales deck.

Depending on your website, industry, and goals, this may include:

  • Technical SEO audits and cleanup
  • Service page optimization
  • Location page strategy
  • Content gap analysis
  • Entity and brand signal development
  • Internal linking improvements
  • Schema recommendations where appropriate
  • AI Overview and answer engine monitoring
  • Commercial keyword targeting
  • Authority and backlink strategy
  • Content development built around search intent
  • Local SEO improvements
  • Conversion-focused page updates
  • Clear reporting tied to real business outcomes

We can also evaluate supporting items such as the FAQ schema, physician schema, organization schema, llms.txt, and AI visibility benchmarking. But we will not oversell them.

Some of these elements can support a broader strategy. None of them replace the foundation.

Why This Matters Now

Search is changing fast, but not in the way most agency pitch decks make it sound.

People are still searching on Google. Google is adding AI-generated answers. AI platforms are pulling from retrieval systems, search indexes, trusted websites, and structured information. Users are asking more specific questions. They are comparing providers faster. They are making decisions with fewer clicks.

That creates a harder environment. You do not just need traffic, you need to be understood, trusted, cited, ranked, and chosen.

For treatment centers, law firms, doctors, local service businesses, and competitive brands, this matters even more. The searches that drive revenue are not casual. They are high-intent, competitive, and expensive to lose.

Ranking for informational prompts is nice. Getting visibility for commercial searches that produce real inquiries is better.

That is why we do not optimize for AI visibility scores as the final goal. We care about qualified leads, consultations, calls, admissions, form submissions, and revenue opportunities.

AI visibility is a signal. It is not the business outcome.

What Working With SMG Looks Like

We start by looking at what is actually happening.

Not what a dashboard guesses. Not what a vendor says should matter. What your rankings, content, technical health, authority, local visibility, conversion paths, and lead quality are actually showing.

Then we identify what is broken, missing, thin, outdated, or underperforming.

From there, we build a strategy around the work most likely to improve visibility and business outcomes. That may include page re-optimization, new service pages, local SEO, technical fixes, content development, authority building, schema cleanup, AI visibility monitoring, or conversion improvements.

Then we execute, report clearly, and adapt.

No smoke. No mirrors. No pretending every new acronym deserves its own invoice.

Let’s Cut Through the Noise

AEO and GEO matter. AI search matters. The future of search matters.

But the future is not won by agencies chasing shortcuts.

It is won by brands with strong websites, useful content, technical clarity, authority, trust, and a strategy built around how people actually search.

That is what we build.

No contracts. No pressure. Just a real conversation about what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.
